Meet Amb. David AllGreen Fiase

Amb. David AllGreen Fiase and his organization, Global Awareness for Development Initiatives (GLADi), launched the UniJos One Million Tree Planting Campaign at the University of Jos, Nigeria, alongside the inauguration of the University of Jos Green Brigade — the first of its kind in Africa.

Backed by the leadership of Amb. Prof. Tanko Ishaya, the five-year campaign aims to plant one million indigenous trees across degraded landscapes, restore over 20,000 hectares of land, sequester 5 million tons of CO₂, and educate more than 20,000 students in climate-smart practices.

The project also seeks to create fruit orchards and timber reserves, supporting SDGs 13 and 15. The launch drew high-profile leaders from Nigeria and Liberia, symbolizing unity and regional commitment to climate action. Amb. Fiase emphasizes that the campaign is not just about trees, but about hope, resilience, and leaving a lasting legacy for future generations.
