Meet Ezekiel Nyanfor
Ezekiel Nyafor is a passionate, action-oriented climate leader and public health professional with over five years of progressive experience in locally-led climate adaptation, youth and stakeholder engagement, humanitarian response, climate policy and justice, and climate diplomacy.
As the Executive Director of Liberian Youth for Climate Actions (LYCA), National Coordinator for the Pan African Climate Justice Alliance (PACJA), and Partnership Coordinator at the African Youth Initiative on Climate Change (AYICC), Ezekiel has led high-impact environmental campaigns, coordinated grassroots climate action, influenced Liberia’s National Adaptation Plan (NAP) and Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), and represented Liberia on the global stage at COP27, COP28, and COP29.
He currently serves as a Climate Justice and Humanitarian Inspirator with ActionAid Liberia, where he strengthens the capacity of youth networks, movements, and local partners in digital advocacy, policy engagement, and social accountability. As a climate negotiator under the UNFCCC, he focuses on advancing the Global Goal on Adaptation (GGA) and Liberia’s NAP processes.
Ezekiel’s mission is to champion inclusive, evidence-based climate solutions, amplify youth voices in decision-making spaces, and accelerate Liberia’s transition toward a climate-resilient and equitable future.
