Meet Tolani Olawore

Tolani Olawore is the founder of Eco-Ed Connect, a nonprofit organization driving climate education and youth leadership across Africa.

With a deep commitment to environmental justice and education, Tolani leads a growing network of trained climate educators working to embed sustainability into classrooms and communities. Since its founding, Eco-Ed Connect has trained over 200 young climate leaders across 9 African countries, empowered 150 teachers, and reached more than 15,000 students through climate literacy initiatives, school programs, and community projects.

The organization also runs a Waste-to-Wealth initiative that helps students fund their education through recycling. Under Tolani’s leadership, Eco-Ed Connect bridges the gap between climate knowledge and action by equipping young people with the tools, confidence, and community to drive local change. Through a blend of education, mentorship, and grassroots impact, the organization is shaping the next generation of African climate leaders, starting from the classroom.
